Course Summary
Hoisting and Rigging(8HRS)
This course is intended as a working guide in the fundamentals of safe rigging and hoisting and understanding of the various regulations under the Act for construction and construction projects. The participant will comprehend a load calculation, hands signals, rigging hitches and the responsibility of hoisting.

- Crane Hazards
- Determining Load Weights
- Determining Centre of Gravity
- Hand Signals
- Lift Planning
- Basic Rigging Hitches
- Sling Angles
- Terminology, accessories, hardware
- Safe and Unsafe Rigging Practices
- Inspection of rigging
- Theory & Practical Exam
Practical Component:
Participants will be required plan a lift using crane load charts and lift plan. Participants will also be required to complete a practical evaluation hands-on exercise to determine lift points, rigging hitches, WLL’s and sling angles.
Note – we do not provide public sessions for individuals
Online Course
Starting in September 2020, we will be offering an online Hoisting and Rigging Training.
Our online course will utilize a variety of interactive learning methods. We will also require participants to complete a rigging assignments and case studies.
